T.A.P is a Montreal-based studio project founded by musician Michael Jobborn (Keyboards) with Mark Cook (Warr guitar, bass, 12-string guitar, synth, sitar, strings, choir) and Suzi James, (acoustic/electric guitars, keys, flute, violin) forming the core of the project. For their second release, Mike, Mark and Suzi reunite to embark on another journey of sonic exploration, joined this time by Bill Bachman on drums. His steady and dynamic playing enhances the trio's unconventional musical structures, while a series of guest contributions adds further depth and variety to the album. Paradigms II reflects T.A.P's ongoing commitment to blending diverse styles and influences, pushing musical boundaries while creating something fresh, distinctive and genuinely original.
Predominantly instrumental, Paradigms II introduces T.A.P's first vocal track, "A Hole in the Ground", featuring lyrics and vocals by Steve Bonino. And he does a very good job.
Paradigms 2 is a lovely relaxed album. Nowhere over the top. The mainly jazzy songs are very well written,
the musicianship is excellent, the production and mix are very good. Easy listening stuff, I Like it.
